Effect of agronomic biofortification on growth, yield, uptake and quality characters of maize (Zea mays .L) through integrated management practices under North-eastern region of Tamil Nadu, India

Agronomic biofortification increases the concentration of target mineral in edible portions crops by use fertilizers to increase dietary intake minerals. Among these iron and zinc deficiencies human nutrition are noticed countries where maize is staple food. The objective this study was evaluate agronomic performance association with Integrated Nutrient Management (Zea mays .L). conducted under field conditions Chinnakandiankuppam village, Vriddhachalam Taluk, North-eastern region Tamil Nadu state, India Kharif 2020 season. Two hybrids main plots (M1 – Non biofortified M2 Biofortified) were combined six treatments sub-plots (100 % RDF through NPK (S1), 100 FYM (S2), 50% + (S3) as soil application, S1+ Zinc Iron (S4), S2 +Zinc (S5) S3 (S6) foliar application evaluations carried out wet season period year. Application 50 percent Fe, Zn, applications most efficient practice for growth attributes, yield nutrient uptake, quality parameters cropping system irrigated condition northeastern zone Tamilnadu State, India.
